Q: Can I start my Master Thesis with more than 35 LP open?
A: No! The Master thesis is 30 LP. And most courses have 5 points. But some have more than 5LP! (Visualization, Regression and ML 1 have 6 LP! M10 has 7LP!) So never miss them. Especially when they are only offered in the summer semester! This is always mentioned A) in the welcome session, B) here in the neighbour thesis section, C) here in the BHT web-page, D) here in the Rahmenprüfungsordnung §28 2(4), and E) confirmed 14th Oct 2025 by the dean. Hence: take care that the big courses are not missing in the winter semester!
Q: I am in my first semester, and I have some courses that might be recognised for my studies. How is this possible?
1. First, do It within one year!
2. You can only get courses recognised that are from your master or made outside of your Bachelor.
3. Send the docs to the head of the Data Science Master (currently Prof. Edlich), the certificates and a table with the courses to be recognised on the left and the BHT DS courses on the right to get my ok.

5. Send then forms to Studienverwaltung-06@bht-berlin.de
