Exhibition of Results for the Semester Topic Cool Town
01 February 2024
COOL TOWN was the overarching theme of the seminars in the architecture programme at the BHT in the winter semester 2023/24. We set out to identify problems and sketch out possible solutions. The results were presented on February the 1st 2024 as part of a joint exhibition across all modules.
Climate-related crises and extreme temperature fluctuations are increasing worldwide and presenting us with enormous challenges. While there are many hopes for solutions, it is increasingly necessary to develop resilience strategies that respond to the irreversible effects of these changes. In the context of architecture, architects must find new perspectives to counter the effects of climate change. The aim is to develop sustainable and adaptable planning concepts that work in both the short and long term. With this in mind, the students spent an entire semester working intensively on the topic in order to develop innovative solutions for the architectural challenges of climate change.
